CARD’s Emergency Services Program provides low income customers with assistance in emergency situations. CARD believes that a person often needs a “hand-up” rather than a “hand-out” on their journey out of poverty.
Each of CARD’s County Representatives will make efforts to assist with your emergency situation and/or offer referrals for a possible long term solution.
Documentation Required
- Proof of income for all household members
- Social Security cards for all household members
- Current utility bill showing meter reading (for utility assistance)
- Eviction notice (for rental assistance)
A Department of Human Services income verification is accepted as proof of income and identification.
