All Full Time positions are “full year” and include such benefits as:

FOR EACH full  and part time position:

Employees must hold a current Oklahoma (may have an out of state license if recently relocated) driver’s license, possess auto insurance, pass a background check (federal level), and have reliable transportation.  Bilingual skills are highly valued.  EEOC

 

Requirements specific to each position: 

 

Lead HS Teachers (preschool age classrooms)

Minimum requirements are a AA degree in ECE, Child Development, or a related field.  Public School Collaboration classrooms require a BS and state certification.  Not sure if your degree is "related?" Those that fulfill this requirement are too numerous to list, so apply! In the event that a B.S. or A.A. level teacher is not located, the program may hire a qualified and experienced teacher with a CDA, Certificate of Mastery or similar credentials and coursework, provided the individual is able to achieve their degree within a specific window of time

 

Assistant HS Teachers (preschool age classrooms)

Minimum requirements are a HS diploma/GED, experience with preschoolers, and ability to achieve the CDA within 18 months. Head Start will pay for the CDA coursework and the assessment fee. The ideal candidate has a CDA in preschool, or has a Certificate of Mastery or above. 

 

HS Teaching Aide positions (preschool age classrooms)

Minimum educational and experiential requirements are a HS diploma/GED, experience with preschoolers (formal or informal), an open attitude towards learning, a desire to serve and to work as a team

 

EHS Educators (lead teachers for 0-3 classrooms)

Minimum educational and experiential requirements are:  Child Development Associate (a credential, not degree) in Infant Toddler age and experience in working with the 0-3 age in group care.  Highly preferred: those with an AA or better in related field, or with related coursework, or a strong experiential background. In the event that the person hired does not yet hold a CDA, it must be achieved within a short frame of time; the program will cover the costs of assessment and coursework to achieve the CDA. 

 

EHS Non Primary Care Educators (for 0-3 classrooms)

Minimum requirements are a HS diploma/GED, experience with preschoolers, and ability to achieve the CDA. The program will cover the costs of assessment and coursework to achieve the CDA.  This position is also eligible for college tuition support. 

 

EHS Home Based Educators (0-3 age)

Minimum educational and experiential requirements desired are:  Child Development Associate (a credential, not degree) in Home Visiting, knowledge of adult learning theory, early childhood development, theories of parenting, adult mental wellness, and community resources, and experience in working with the 0-3 age group and experience in home visiting services.  Highly preferred: those with an AA or better in related field, or with related coursework, or a strong experiential background. In the event that the person hired does not yet hold a CDA, it must be achieved within a short frame of time; the program will cover the costs of assessment and coursework to achieve the CDA. 

 

Family Service Workers (HS and EHS)

Minimum educational and experiential requirements desired are:  Family Development Credential (a credential, not degree), knowledge of adult learning theory, early childhood development, theories of parenting, adult mental wellness, and community resources, and experience in working with the 0-5 age group, and experience in social services delivery. Highly preferred: those with an AA or better in related field, or with related coursework, or a strong experiential background. In the event that the person hired does not yet hold a FDC, it must be achieved within 18 months; the program will cover the costs of assessment and coursework to achieve the FDC. 

 

Nutrition Staff such as Cooks and Assistant Cooks  (HS and EHS)

Basic educational requirements, plus experience in food preparation, preferably in a commercial kitchen, or cooking for large groups.  

 

Part time teachers (EHS and HS)

Basic educational and employment requirements apply.  Experience with the age is preferred.  Part time staff work a regular number of hours per week (typically 1-6), and earn SL, Vacation leave, and paid federal holidays.  Training is provided (and paid), and training days are full days. Orientation days are approximately 8-4, and are required, as are CPR training days.
